Re-surrected

Sep 8th (but which year???)

• Oieasu ist the first player to have beaten the highest level. Congrats, Mr. vowel!

• Fixed a bug that prevented the Highscore/Stats from working in IE 6. Didn't notice until today (whoops)

Sep 3rd

• Nerfed level 5 back so it's not impossible to win anymore. "Invincible" has become a lot more "vincible" today...

• Introduced alternating highscores "this week" / "all time".

• Fixed highscore bug. Too lazy to explain details.

• Tried out google Chrome. Works fine.

Aug 23rd

• The system will now only announce 'new record' and ask your name if you've actually made it into the top 5 of any level.

• The system will announce if you've ascended to another level.

• Changed english level names to "Beginnner","Little League","Intermediate","Advanced","Invincible".

• Changed font on the Buttons, other small improvements

Aug 22nd

There are actually five levels, not just three. I don't think this is apparent right now. You can only reach levels 4 or 5 by winning a level 3 game. I didn't want to overload the start game dialog with five buttons, that's why i simply omitted the buttons for levels 4 and 5. Hmm, maybe no such a good idea after all.

If you win a game, you are automatically advanced one level. This is ALSO not exactly apparent. I will have to work on this.

Aug 15th

• Changed the number of goals needed to win a game from 10 to 6. All previous results in the hall of fame have been changed accordingly.

Aug 11th

• AJAX Malfunction in IE fixed (used a different library for embedding flash - beats me why this works better but it does. AC_OETags considered harmful.)

Aug 10th

• Changed preloader to yellow
• Made AI a bit more active in the 2 easiest levels, so people don't think the AI is dead...
• Muted 'Ball Rolling' sound during dialog boxes
• De-awkwardified post-loading 'game init' phase
• Fixed graphic error
• (rant)What's up with importing bitmaps with alpha-channel into Flash anyway? PNG doesn't work (at least not for PNGs that After Effects creates). TGA works, but images are too dark (WTF is up with that?). JPG has no alpha channel. PSD works MAYBE depending on the detailed nature of the PSD (and the moon being in the seventh house of jupiter)... Flash and Alpha Channel, a royal pain since 1998... it's 2008 people, GET A GRIP.(/rant)
• Radio: Oldies no one wants to hear anymore EVER: J Giles Band / Centerfold. Stop it already.

Aug 9th

• Added Quickbar to switch english/german, included imprint to make german lawyers happy
• Added AJAX-Style reloading for the score tab, enabling it to update during the game
• Added more stats (many more to follow) and linked level names in stats and flash
• Music is in the works; will be integrated as soon as it is done.
• Added superfluous 'reload stats' button.

• Should the AI have a voice to make it more interesting and give it a little bit of character? Or have I been playing Portal too often...
• Add bonus objects (like in Speedball)?

• Control individual rods (expert mode)?
• Protect Highscores using hashes (ist it worth the bother? People can still cheat)
